Boer BE-series mineral fibres

Boer BE-series fibres are developed in-house, made by the proprietary wet process and treated by immersion surface treatment, which improves specific surface area and surface activity. The products are easy to disperse, with high-temperature stability, low shot content and good interfacial bonding with rubber and resin, serving the friction, sealing and coating industries.

Fillers / other custom directions

  • Beyond the standard BE and GBF models, short-cut length and surface treatment can be customised for your application;
  • Formulation tuning and sampling support are available; final specifications are subject to written confirmation.

Note: the parameters above come from Boer's public website (typical ranges) and may differ slightly between the brochure and the website; the delivered batch is governed by the factory test report. Chemical composition (SiO₂/Al₂O₃/CaO/MgO/Fe₂O₃, etc.) is detailed on each model's product page.

FAQ

10 things you may want to know about model selection

Q1What are the four product series of the Boer BE line?
Friction materials series, sealing materials series, coatings series (GBF short-cut fibres) and fillers / other custom directions. All 16 registered models are made by the wet process.
Q2How do the friction and sealing materials series differ?
The friction series (BE-SL05, BE-GL3, BE-S06, BE-G3, BE-F01, BE-B03, BE-B07) is used for disc / drum brake pads, railway brake shoes and clutch facings; the sealing series (BE-SG21, BE-SGL25, BE-C08, BE-C06) is used for roller-pressed or beater-add asbestos-free gaskets and paper-based sheets. Select by product type and process.
Q3Where are GBF short-cut fibres used?
GBF-01, GBF-02, GBF-03, GBF-05 and GBF-06 are grey-green short-cut fibres, hydrophilic and easy to disperse, used in coatings and composite reinforcement formulations.
Q4What are the melting points and heat resistance of the models?
Standard models have a melting point above 1000℃; the white-fibre series (BE-B03, BE-B07, BE-C08) is above 1600℃. Specific parameters are subject to the batch test report.
Q5What is the shot level in the model parameters?
In the wet process, fibres and shot are separated in the settling chamber using a water medium and differences in gravity and resistance. For the registered models, shot content (>125μm sieve) typically ranges from below 1% to ≤5%, per the batch test report.
Q6Do the products contain asbestos? Is there test evidence?
Boer fibres are asbestos-free man-made mineral fibres. The SGS asbestos-free report CANEC25025290506 (2025-10-22) shows chrysotile and 5 other asbestos types all not detected (XRD/PLM method, detection limit 0.1%).
Q7Do the products meet RoHS / REACH requirements?
SGS RoHS 10-substance testing (CANEC25025290502) and SVHC 250-substance testing (CANEC25025290504) were passed, supporting REACH-related requirements.
Q8Are MSDS/SDS and test reports provided?
MSDS/SDS safety data sheets are available (EECSSDS2605060802, compiled in accordance with REACH Annex II), the batch test report is delivered with each shipment, and original SGS reports can be provided for verification.
Q9How are the products packaged and stored?
Normally moisture-proof laminated bags or eco-friendly paper bags, with custom packaging on request. Store in a dry, ventilated place away from moisture and caking, open flame and strong oxidizers.
Q10How do I request samples or selection support?
Call the national sales hotline 4006-0763-82 or email info@boerfibre.com with your product type and process; the Boer technical team provides selection advice and samples. Commercial terms are subject to written confirmation.

Need selection advice or product documentation?

Boer provides parameter sheets for all BE-series models, SDS and batch test reports — on request.
