Tai Chi brisk walking in the town
Abstract
In 2017, Lianjiangkou was added to the national list of characteristic towns. Taking the opportunity of the Tai Chi Running movement reaching the south and with the support of the local government, a Lianjiangkou town-wide brisk walking event was arranged.
On the event day, 8 September, after the previous night's rain, the sky was clear. After 8 a.m. the usually quiet Yang Wanli Cultural Square filled up: group assembly, drone aerial photography and square-dance warm-up. At 9:10, coach Wen Yi and Wang Xiaobai, Greater China chief coach of Tai Chi Running from Hong Kong, introduced the basics and points to note. After the opening ceremony, the teams set off in order, and the event concluded in the town surrounded by green hills and water.
